THE FINE PRINT

The stuff we need to say.

A few policies, expectations, and important details that help BBA run smoothly and make sure everyone knows what to expect.
Nothing complicated. Nothing hidden. Just the details, all in one place.

SOCIAL ROOM OPENING

Your membership starts now. Your room awaits in January.

BBA memberships are available for purchase now. Social Room access begins January 2027, when the BBA Social Room officially opens. You can join now and secure your membership, but access to the physical Social Room, including individual key-fob access, begins in January 2027.

In the meantime, BBA Experiences, Studio off-site sessions, and The Shop are available according to their individual schedules and availability.

SOCIAL ROOM GUIDELINES

A shared space works when we all take care of it.

The Social Room is here to be used — whether you’re meeting someone, getting something done, having coffee, reading, or simply taking a little time for yourself. A few simple expectations help keep it comfortable for everyone.

BBA reserves the right to suspend or end Social Room access when necessary to protect the safety of members, the space, or BBA Collective, including for serious or repeated violations of these guidelines.

Members only.

Social Room access is for active BBA members. Guests are not permitted unless BBA has specifically opened the space to non-members for a designated event or experience.

18+ unless otherwise noted.

The Social Room is an adult membership space. Anyone under 18 may only be in the space during a BBA event or experience specifically designated for younger participants.

Make yourself at home. Then help us reset.

Use the seating, enjoy the coffee and tea, move around, and get comfortable. Before you leave, please clean up after yourself and return shared spaces to the way you found them.

Share the room.

Be mindful of noise, conversations, phone calls, personal space, and the fact that other members may be using the room differently than you are.

No pressure to participate.

You never have to join a conversation or activity simply because you’re here. Being around people without having to participate is part of what makes the Social Room different.

Respect people and the space.

Treat other members, BBA property, furnishings, and shared supplies with care. Harassment, threatening behavior, discrimination, intentional damage, or behavior that makes the space unsafe will not be permitted.

Some areas are off limits.

Membership provides access to the Social Room and designated member areas only. The BBA Studio, office/storage areas, and other marked or locked spaces are not included in Social Room access.

MEMBERSHIP TERMS

A few things to know about being a member.

BBA membership is meant to be simple. Your membership is yours, gives you access to the benefits included with your membership type, and is subject to the policies that help BBA run smoothly.

Membership is individual.

Your BBA membership belongs to you and may not be transferred, shared, or used by another person.

Social Room access is for active members.

Social Room access and member benefits are available while your membership is active and in good standing.

Monthly memberships.

Monthly Social Room memberships are billed at $25 per month and continue monthly until canceled.

Annual memberships.

Annual Social Room memberships are $250 for one year and provide the same membership benefits for the full annual membership period.

Founding 50 memberships.

Founding 50 memberships are $150 for the founding year and include the same Social Room membership benefits. Founding 50 recognizes the women who chose to support BBA Collective at the beginning; it does not provide separate guest privileges.

One membership to give.

Each paid Social Room membership includes one 3-month full BBA membership to give to another woman. The gifted membership belongs to the recipient for those three months and is not a guest pass or shared membership.

No automatic renewal for gifted memberships.

A gifted 3-month membership ends automatically at the conclusion of the three-month period. The recipient is not charged and has no obligation to continue. If she wants to stay, she can choose and purchase her own membership.

Membership benefits may evolve.

BBA may occasionally adjust operating hours, member programming, benefits, or how the space is used as the business evolves. Material changes that affect members will be communicated when appropriate.

Membership gives you access to BBA. It doesn’t require you to use it a certain way. Come often, come occasionally, join in, or simply use the space when you need it.

MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION

Need to cancel? Keep it simple.

We’d love for you to stay, but BBA should never feel like something you’re stuck in. Here’s what happens when you decide to cancel.

Monthly memberships.

Monthly memberships may be canceled at any time. Once canceled, you will not be charged for another month and your membership will remain active through the end of your current paid billing period.

Annual memberships.

Annual memberships may be canceled at any time to prevent renewal for another year. Your membership will remain active through the end of the annual period you already paid for.

Membership payments are nonrefundable.

Membership fees already paid are not refunded or prorated when a membership is canceled.

Founding 50 memberships.

Founding 50 memberships are paid for one full founding year and are nonrefundable. At the end of that year, you decide whether you would like to continue with a current BBA membership option.

Gifted memberships simply end.

A gifted 3-month BBA membership does not automatically renew. There is nothing to cancel and the recipient will never be automatically charged. At the end of the three months, she may choose whether she wants to purchase her own membership.

Your access ends with your membership.

When your paid membership period ends, Social Room access, key-fob access, and other active member benefits end as well.

No hoops. No awkward conversation. No convincing you to stay.

KEY-FOB + SOCIAL ROOM ACCESS

Your key to the room.

BBA members may use the Social Room during designated member-access hours, including times when BBA is not staffed. Your individual key fob helps us keep that flexibility safe and simple.

Your fob is yours.

Each member receives individual access credentials. Key fobs may not be shared, loaned, or used to provide access to another person.

Members only means members only.

Do not use your key fob to allow a non-member into the Social Room. Non-members may only enter when BBA has specifically opened the space to them for a designated event, experience, appointment, or other authorized reason.

Access may be logged.

BBA may maintain records of individual key-fob access, including entry dates and times, for security and operation of the space.

Sometimes you’ll have the room without us.

The Social Room may be available during designated member-access hours even when a BBA team member is not physically present. Members using the space during unstaffed hours are expected to follow the same Social Room Guidelines and access policies.

Help us keep the space secure.

Do not prop exterior doors open or intentionally allow someone to enter behind you. When entering or leaving during unstaffed hours, please make sure exterior doors close securely.

Lost your fob? Tell us.

If your key fob is lost or stolen, contact BBA as soon as possible so access can be deactivated and replacement access can be arranged.

Some doors stay locked.

Key-fob access is for the Social Room and designated member areas only. The BBA Studio, office/storage areas, and other restricted or locked spaces are not included.

Access follows your membership.

Key-fob access may be activated, deactivated, or suspended based on membership status, safety concerns, or serious or repeated violations of BBA policies.

The freedom to use BBA on your time comes with one simple ask: help us take care of the space and each other.

BBA STUDIO POLICIES

A few details before we get you in front of the camera.

BBA Studio sessions are meant to feel relaxed, personal, and uncomplicated. A few policies help us protect the time we’ve set aside for you and make sure you know exactly what to expect.

The goal is pretty simple: photographs that feel like you.

Your session is reserved for you.

Your appointment time is specifically reserved for your session. Booking and payment requirements will be provided at the time you schedule.

Plans change. We get it.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact BBA as soon as possible. Cancellation, rescheduling, and any applicable payment terms provided during booking will apply to your session.

Running late? Let us know.

If you arrive late, your session may need to be shortened so appointments scheduled after yours are not affected. Significant lateness may require the session to be rescheduled.

Your package includes edited digital images.

Your session includes the number of professionally edited digital images specified in the package you purchased. Unedited or RAW image files are not included.

Editing is part of the BBA Studio style.

Final images are selected and edited in the BBA Studio photography style. Editing is intended to create polished photographs while still allowing you to look and feel like yourself.

Download + keep your images.

Once your completed gallery is delivered, please download and back up your digital images. BBA cannot guarantee permanent storage of completed galleries or image files.

Your photos stay yours to enjoy.

Clients receive personal-use rights to their delivered photographs. Copyright remains with BBA Studio unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Sharing your images is your choice.

Booking a photography session does not automatically give BBA Collective permission to use identifiable photographs or video of you for marketing, social media, the BBA website, Studio portfolio, printed materials, or in-space displays. Promotional use is governed by BBA’s separate Photography & Media Release and the permissions you choose there.

Other people in your session.

The person booking the session is responsible for making sure everyone participating understands the session arrangements. Promotional use of identifiable images remains subject to the appropriate photography/media permissions.

EXPERIENCES + EVENTS

Show up. Try something. See what happens.

BBA experiences are a chance to do something different, meet people, learn, create, laugh, or just get out of your usual routine. Here are a few things to know before you join us.

Save your spot.

Some BBA experiences require advance registration and payment. Your spot is confirmed once any required registration and payment are completed.

Space may be limited.

Some experiences have limited capacity based on the activity, instructor, or space available. Registration may close when an experience is full.

Plans change. We understand.

If you can no longer attend, please let BBA know as soon as possible. Cancellation, refund, or transfer terms provided when you register for that specific experience will apply.

Arrive when you can — but timing sometimes matters.

Some experiences may require participants to arrive by a particular time because of instruction, materials, or the nature of the activity. Any specific arrival requirements will be communicated beforehand.

Check the age before you register.

Unless otherwise stated, BBA experiences are designed for adults 18+. Some experiences may specifically welcome younger participants, including designated mother/daughter experiences. Age requirements will be clearly identified when applicable.

Some experiences have their own details.

Certain activities may have additional participation requirements, waivers, clothing recommendations, materials, or safety instructions. Those details will be provided before the experience when applicable.

Participation is always your choice.

You are welcome to participate at your own comfort level unless participation in a particular activity is necessary for safety or for the experience itself.

Take care of each other.

BBA expects participants to treat other guests, instructors, members, and the space with respect. Behavior that is threatening, discriminatory, harassing, intentionally disruptive, or unsafe may result in being asked to leave.

You don't have to be good at it. You just have to be willing to try it.

THE SHOP · RETURNS + EXCHANGES

Changed your mind? That’s okay.

We want you to love the things you take home from BBA. If something isn’t right, here’s what you need to know.

You have 14 days.

Unused or unworn merchandise may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase with proof of purchase.

Keep it in original condition.

Returned merchandise must be unused and in its original condition. Apparel must be unworn and unwashed.

Used items can’t be returned.

Merchandise that has been used, worn, washed, altered, or damaged after purchase is not eligible for return or exchange.

Something wrong with it? Tell us.

If an item is defective or damaged when you purchase or receive it, contact BBA and we’ll work with you to make it right.

Shipping costs.

Original shipping charges, when applicable, are nonrefundable.

Returning something by mail.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the merchandise arrived damaged or defective.

Exchanges depend on what we have.

The Shop carries intentionally small quantities, so we cannot guarantee that another size, color, or identical item will be available for an exchange. When an exchange isn’t available, an eligible return may be refunded instead.

Small shop. Small batches. We’ll always do our best to make it right.
